My Habitat Community
Welcome to our online community! Habitat for Humanity has always been a grassroots organisation that thrives on networking and mobilising communities to take action. Last year, Habitat for Humanity helped an estimated 24,500 families in the Asia Pacific Region alone. That is a lot of networking and mobilising!
Many organisations have recognised that websites are a fantastic environment to create a “social community” – a group of people interested in interacting, and bound together by a common purpose or vision. My Habitat Community will provide that type of user experience and interaction within this website. For example, a group of Habitat construction supervisors can discuss how to coordinate a Blitz Build with Greg. Natalie can share her “how to” manual for running a Habitat Trivia Night. New volunteer Paul can sign up for a “job” for the next three Saturdays. Neil can share the Victoria Affiliate’s events calendar. James can privately view his giving history online. All of these activities are possible in My Habitat Community.
