Volunteer Opportunities

There any many ways in which you can volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

Global Village Program

Short term overseas teams that build with local Habitat communities. Volunteers pay their own trip costs and make a donation to Habitat's building program overseas.

The Global Village Program offers international volunteers the exciting opportunity to take part in "hands on" house building and renovating projects.

International Volunteer Program

Long term overseas volunteer placements in an office or on Habitat a build site through IVP or AusAid placements. Qualified, skilled volunteers are placed in volunteer positions. Usually volunteers pay their own costs; however funding may be available in some situations.

Local Programs

Volunteer locally at the Habitat office or on the build site in Australia.

The Habitat Australia office is located in North Sydney, NSW. Volunteers are needed to help with office tasks, at events and on special assignments like newsletters, trust and foundation proposals and poverty housing research. Local Habitat affiliates are always looking for volunteers to get involved at the grassroots level.
