Global Launch of GeboMana – Sponsoring Habitat for Humanity Australia
7/06/2010

GeboMana, a new apparel company, launched its unique T-shirt range on 6th June 2010.

GeboMana's range of unique, limited edition designs are developed and produced in Bali, backed by the GeboMana Foundation to help underprivileged families in the area

As Mike Boorn, the founder of GeboMana said, “for every T-shirt that you give to somebody, or to yourself, we work with the Gebo Foundation to give the gift of education to underprivileged children”.

The T-Shirts are made from organic cotton woven in Java and completed for GeboMana by Balinese craftspeople. These craftspeople print, paint, embroider or stitch every T Shirt. As Michael explained, “every T-Shirt we make is decorated by hand, that means that every T-shirt is like no other - it’s special”.

At the launch, Jo Brennan, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Australia (Habitat), presented how GeboMana and Habitat for Humanity Australia plan to work together to develop integrated solutions in housing, using Habitat's model of “a hand up, not a hand out”.
