Support Habitat

Corporate Partners

Corporate support enables Habitat for Humanity Australia to work towards fulfilling our mission of providing decent affordable shelter.

Many companies are giving back to their communities and staff through involvment with not for profit organisations demonstrating their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) “is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of the life of the work force, their families, as well as the local community and society at large”.

Companies are increasingly looking to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a proven vehicle to drive greater staff, stakeholder and community engagement.

Habitat for Humanity Sponsors

Habitat for Humanity would like to thank the following companies for their overwhelming support:

pmi

In 2001, PMI Mortgage Insurance Ltd (PMI), a leading mortgage insurer and credit enhancer in Australia and New Zealand, and Habitat for Humanity Australia entered into a three year alliance. During this time, PMI committed to providing financial and volunteer support for the construction of one house per year for three years.

The strength of the alliance has been recognised with PMI and Habitat for Humanity winning Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Community Partnerships - 2003 Encouragement Award, 2004 NSW Award and 2004 National Finalist.

In 2005, PMI became a cornerstone sponsor of Habitat for Humanity Australia, committing to sponsor three houses per year for three years.

Managing Director of PMI, Ian Graham said,“Our relationship with Habitat for Humanity is considered an important part of our ‘sense of community’ culture which focuses strongly on facilitating home ownership for Australians. Working with Habitat for Humanity has given PMI and its people the opportunity to build houses for families in need in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland. As Cornerstone sponsors, we will be able to continue helping families Australia-wide achieve their dream of homeownership.”
