It has been six months since Tropical Cyclone Winston struck Fiji on 20 February, 2016. This category 5 cyclone was the worst disaster to hit the country in recorded history and left more than 31,000 houses damaged or destroyed across Fiji.
Habitat for Humanity South Australia recently held a dedication ceremony where they handed over a new home to Karen, a single mum of eight year old Kosta. In mid-2014 Karen and Kosta started their Habitat journey to make a fresh start in a home of their own.
Habitat Australia is so proud of our 26 Habitat Heroes who were among the 80,000 people running in this month’s City to Surf in Sydney. Our Habitat Heroes came from all walks of life, new and long time supporters, individuals and corporate teams including Strata Choice and SF Capital.
