On Thursday, Habitat for Humanity celebrated 30 years of building homes, communities and hope in Australia at our Gala Dinner.
Over the years, with the help of our supporters we’ve been able to take great steps towards our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Watch the video below to see some of our key achievements made possible with your support.
On the night we were joined by 240 amazing guests including corporate supporters, former volunteers and other partners to celebrate 30 years and these achievements. There was delicious food, inspiring guest speakers and a live auction where we sold a Global Village trip among many other fantastic prizes.
Thanks to our guests, on the night we also “sold” a total of 26 houses – meaning we have just four to go before reaching our target of building 30 homes for 30 years.
As you may know, it costs roughly $2,500 to build a house in the Asia Pacific region – and the funds raised on the night will play a key role in impacting more families and making home a reality for those in need.
