CoFIT-19 Challenge - FAQ's

Join us today on the CoFIT-19 Challenge! Stay home and stay fit, all while making an immeasurable difference to vulnerable lives throughout our region.

We all know the benefits of keeping yourself moving for both physical and mental health. Be creative and share your positive stories of remaining active in and around your home. Set yourself a goal, ask your friends and family to support you so we can support vulnerable communities in need.

Help us reach a collective $50,000 raised by contributing 50,000 minutes of exercise, all at your own pace. We’ll be announcing prizes for the most active fundraisers, and most creative work-outs so stay tuned!

What challenge can I set for myself?

You can commit to doing anything at all so be creative. Here are a few ideas we’ve received from supporters already:

  • x number of push-ups per day for 30 days
  • x number of steps/kms per day
  • No chocolate for 30 days
  • 30mins of exercise per day
  • A push-up/sit-up or a minute of exercise for every dollar raised
  • Kettle bell swings (with a bottle of milk)
  • Lentil lunges – rolling a can of lentils along the carpet when lunging.
  • Kitchen bench presses

What support do I get from Habitat?

We are also developing lots of resources available for you to download on the website.

After you register, we’ll be in touch regularly via email with fundraising tips and information on where your funds go and the difference your fundraising is making.

How much should I set as my fundraising target?

 This is up to you. There is no minimum, but we encourage you to stretch yourself.

Our fundraisers are often surprised how much support they can receive in a short period of time. You can always increase your goal, as every bit counts.  

Why do I need to register?

We ask you to register so that your personal fundraising page is created and we can send you all the resources to help you on your way.  

I’ve forgotten my username and/or password.

If you’re trying to log in but you can’t remember your password, click on the ‘Forgot password?’  link on the log in screen. Enter your email address and we’ll send you a link to reset your password. 

Where does my fundraising money go?

Every dollar raised through CoFIT-19 helps fund Habitat’s life-changing work in providing safe and decent housing, along with the strength, stability and independence for vulnerable communities to build better lives. For more information on the ways your donations make a difference click here. 

 

Do you have any tips to help with my fundraiser?

Can I use Facebooks 'Fundraisers' option to raise funds?

While this is an option, we do not encourage using this platform. The best way to encourage friends and family to donate to your fundraiser is through the sharable link we send you. While funds raised through facebook come to Habitat, we are not advised of when. Therefore we will be unable to attribute any funds raised on Facebook, to your overall total on your Fundraising page, and we can’t send you prizes when you smash your goals! 

Will Habitat help me promote my fundraising page?

If you use social media, the best way to publicise your event is through the Habitat for Humanity Australia Facebook Page and Twitter account. 

You can upload and share your photos directly onto our Facebook Page.
