Rock the House with Habitat and Baby Animals

WHY YOGYAKARTA?

Yogyakarta is known as the soul of Indonesia.
Habitat works in the foothills of ‘Yogya,’ transforming bamboo shelters without access to water or electricity into safe and functioning homes for families in need.

The situation is dire. “If not for you, I couldn’t change these conditions” said Sapudi, whose home will be built by Rock the House volunteers in October.
For families living in poverty, a safe and decent home creates a rock solid future. “It’s incredible to see how lives can be changed with such little effort” said Suze, during her visit.

HOW ROCK THE HOUSE WAS BORN

The rock community is built on the power of music. Baby Animals wanted to call on that passion and unite to empower others.
“We’ve been very fortunate over the last 25 years since we released the first Baby Animals record. We’ve had a lot of help along the way, so we decided to partner up with Habitat for Humanity…We had this idea to build 25 homes. One for every year since we released our first album. And to do that, we need 300 people to join us.” – Suze DeMarchi, Baby Animals
Here, we call on you to help build a rock solid future for generations to come.
