On Thursday, Habitat for Humanity celebrated 30 years of building homes, communities and hope in Australia at our Gala Dinner.
Each year at Habitat for Humanity Australia, we welcome roughly 400 volunteers who spend a week overseas helping families in need build a safe and decent home.

In October, 130 volunteers joined us to Rock the House in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Our volunteers were of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life and were united by Habitat for Humanity’s vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
In November, the Abbotsleigh School sent a volunteer team of 16 (2 teachers and 14 students) to Fiji. The students worked side by side Vasenai and her family to help them build a safe and decent home that can also withstand disaster.
