Our community volunteering program offers individuals the opportunity to volunteer for one day on one of our volunteering programs like Bushfire Recovery or Resilience, at a homeless shelter or transitional shelter for women and children escaping domestic violence. Volunteers spend the day painting, clearing debris, gardening, rebuilding fences and many other tasks. No skills or experience!
Local Village is a 4-day volunteer trip where any individual can join a team of volunteers on a life-changing adventure to come together and help rebuild communities post-disaster, or help disadvantaged youths. We’re currently looking for help in NSW, SA, VIC and QLD locations. Please click here to see the trips we’re running in 2021.
What Volunteers Say
“I decided to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Australia because I wanted to support people that had been affected by the bushfires. This is an amazing way to learn new skills, meet new people, and really feel connected to the community and the ecosystems around you. Giving back to those people that are tangibly suffering is something that’s really important to me and a way that I can donate my time, energy and efforts to help them.”
